Hope I

Hope – We all need hope to keep going, to get back up, to finish, to start.

Last night I gave my employer my resignation with a two week notice. Fifteen minutes later, the employer gave me notice that the present shift would be my last shift. Wow!

When plans are turned around or upside down and when there’s upheaval, what keeps you going? Hope! When the unexpected happens, what keeps you going? Hope! Looking beyond what you see and realizing there’s more that you can’t see….realizing that an end to something is a beginning of something new – new direction, new season, new opportunity. If you’re not doing what you were doing, it means you’re doing something else. If you’re not where you were, it means you’re somewhere else. What will you do from this new place in which you stand? Now is a chance to choose a new direction, do something you always wanted to do. Hope! Maybe this is the time, maybe this is the way new dreams are being birthed and coming to life! At this moment is freedom, a blank slate, a canvas waiting for creation! Hope!

Do you know God is referred to as a God of Hope? Romans 15:13 Now may the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Wow! What a great prayer! Do you know Proverbs 13:12 says hope deferred (or taken away) makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life! Hope! And keep hoping!
