INSPIRATION!
What in the world do we need inspiration for anyway?
I was absolutely taken back, stopped in my tracks these last few days realizing how many people and how many ways there is inspiration in my life.
How many other aspects can you add to this?
- By connecting with Holley who is so different than me – Enriched.
- By conversation with Sharron who is a voice of faith – Encouraged.
- By sharing with Dana – Excited about what God is doing.
- By reading a book by the Super-Size movie guy – Educated and motivated.
- By all who downloaded my new book – Thrilled!
- By the comment left on my blogged – Affirmed.
- By the unexpected cheque in the mail – Surprised.
- By a beautiful evening walk in the country – Alive and part of life.
- Praying with my prayer partner re a violent incident – Peace & Faith, Confidence in God.
- By my friend Sheena sharing her breakthrough insights – Ecstatic.
- By listening to our Pastor – Enlightened. Focused. Assured.
- By sharing time with friends at the kitchen table and church – Connected. Loved. Belonging.
- By seeing and pursuing various opportunities through the internet – Expanded. Increased.
Look at that list closely… What do you notice about the beginning of each sentence versus the end of each sentence?
Get this! Everything on the left side is an action in the physical which is transformed into something non-physical “in spirit”. In your spirit. “In”spired! None of what the action created can be picked up, held or touched with human hands. It can’t be packaged or sold in the physical realm. You see, inspiration takes us to a different level of living and experiencing life.
When you are inspired, LIFE IS EXCITING. You are truly “alive”. Not just in your body or just “going through” the emotions of life. You live! You feel! You see! You hear! Fully – as in fulfilled! You are “awake”. You are “touched”. You are “energized”. You are “moved” to some things. You are “moved-away” from other things.
Electricians or anyone being around wires are cautious for “live wires”. These wires can carry a very high degree or voltage of electricity – far more than the human body can take in the “raw” form. However, the wires channel that electricity into energy-and-power which transforms into light for lamps, heat for the oven, power for the coffeemaker, the furnace, air conditioner and a multitude of other things. POWER! That energy is transformed into power!
When you think about someone who lives feeling depressed, negative or hopeless, there is a lack of power. A lack of inspiration. Whenever and wherever we feel hopeless, we will also feel powerless. Dead wires. No life. No hope. That is not how we are created to be or live!
All those actions described on the left side, created or transformed something to be created in my life. That’s what inspiration does for us! It transforms us. Gives life. It takes what “is” and makes it more. Makes it better. So much better. It gives us power to live that life FULLY!
